Peppermint benefits and uses
Peppermint essential oil not only smells delightful, but there are also many benefits to using it in day to day life. It can be applied topically, diffused for aromatic use, or ingested. Throughout history, peppermint has been used to freshen breath, relieve headaches, gas, heartburn, and indigestion. It also can have an affect on mood, working to alleviate anger, depression, and fatigue.

Peppermint essential oil can be use in a lot of fun ways, but one of our favorites is this natural lip stain with raspberry, blackberry, and peppermint by doTERRA. And, even better, it’s only four ingredients!
- 5 blackberries
- 5 raspberries
- 2 drops of peppermint essential oil
- 1 teaspoon fractionated coconut oil
Simply add all ingredients to a bowl, mash well, and drain any excess liquid. Store in the refrigerator to enjoy your all natural, beautiful lip stain for longer!
Lemon benefits and uses
Lemon essential oil has a lovely, bright scent and many practical uses. It can be used topically, aromatically, and internally. Historically, lemon has been used to fight food poisoning, high blood pressure, muscular aches and pains, and even scurvy! It also works very well in removing gum, wood stain, oil, and grease spots and it can help to brighten skin complexion by removing dead skin cells. It really does a bit of everything!
Lemon DIY
Since lemon essential oil has many practical uses, it’s no wonder one of our favorite lemon DIY’s is a non-toxic mopping solution by doTERRA. Super simple and all natural, what isn’t there to love?
- 1 cup vinegar
- 1 gallon hot water
- 15 drops lemon essential oil
Add all the ingredients to a mop bucket and mix well. Apply to a rag or mop to create clean, wonderful smelling floors!
